Throughout the year many events take place in the club. These events are set out so that newbies and seasoned pros can come along and be equally challenged in all aspects. For the beginners there will be an experienced “old boy” to lead them on the right track both on and off the water. There will be opportunities to both sail and socialise within the group. Competitive events for the up and coming rock stars of the sailing world will be given an opportunity to show the club what they’re made of. These events include BUSA nationals for both yachting and dinghy. For the cruiser sailors of you there will be relaxed recreational sailing throughout the year. This is a great opportunity for those of you that are just beginning to learn the tools of the trade and have a good time as well.

For the more outgoing of you Social events include, themed nights out in and around Portsmouth and Sailing weekends.
Yachting weekends are the highlight of the social sailing calendar. Every semester the sailing club, both dinghy and yachting get the chance to go away for three days, kick back and have a booze cruise around the Solent stopping at various marinas. This is where we get a chance to party hard in pubs with special student friendly rates for the club and of course the obligatory pontoon parties when we get thrown out
